About
Built for the people who keep clinics running
Coral started with a simple observation: intake coordinators were spending two hours every morning reading faxes and retyping patient data. That is not a staffing problem. It is a process problem that software can solve.
Our mission
Reduce the administrative burden on specialty care clinics
Prior authorization is one of the most time-consuming administrative processes in specialty care. For an infusion center running three or four chairs, a single coordinator may handle 20 to 40 authorization requests each week. Each one requires reading an unstructured fax, finding nine specific fields, and re-entering them into a payer portal or phone tree.
Coral was founded in Nashville in 2024 to fix the first part of that sequence. We read the fax. We find the fields. We hand your coordinator a pre-filled form that takes two minutes to verify instead of twenty minutes to complete from scratch.
We are angel-backed and focused on specialty clinics in the Southeast. Every feature we build is shaped by conversations with working intake coordinators, not by guesses about what they might need. If you want to understand how the product works before signing up, start with How It Works.
Team
The people behind Coral
Akshay's background is in healthcare administrative operations and document workflow automation. He started Coral after working directly on prior authorization bottlenecks in specialty care settings and concluding that the fax-to-auth handoff was the most fixable part of the problem.
Priya has spent years building document processing pipelines and NLP systems applied to healthcare records. She owns the extraction engine, the HIPAA-compliant data pipeline, and the field confidence benchmarking that tells coordinators exactly where to look when something needs a second pass.
Jordan's background is in infusion center operations. Before moving into product design, he worked as an intake coordinator managing referral intake and prior authorization workflows at a specialty clinic. He conducts the coordinator interviews that drive Coral's roadmap and owns the review dashboard that coordinators use every day.
